How does the PBEM stack up?
Is it fairly equal and are there a good number of dedicated players?

Most players believe PBEM is the best way to play WarPlan. It is more complicated than other games of the genre so it is harder to program the A.I. for it. But human vs human it is very exciting.

PBEM is good - though atm I feel the Allies are on steroids.
