Dear Slitherine.
After finding 45 fire hydrants, 25 pedestrian crossings and 15 bicycles I have decided not to buy anything from you untill you stop abusing me with google machine learning (co called captcha).
Google is too powerful already, why are you inflating it?
Glad I can at least login to this forum without google scripts.

so every spambot in the world can come and post each and every day the bring the forums to it's knee's?
and break it for everyone, sounds great, i'll pass on the messages to admin as it's them that make the rules, i'm just a user same as all you, my opinions are my own, it's been in place well before i came, and i'd guess it may be here well after i'm gone, but maybe wrong, who knows what a new board / forum will bring, like a new years, things change

That is a specious argument that does not address the issue.
What I (and others, no doubt) want is the ability to simply purchase a game and shop without going through these unnecessary hoops. I shop on other web sites that work just fine with a simple login.
Just like this forum works just fine with a simple log in.

fair point, i'm just pointing out, that's imo it's better with the protection on, than off, then again i look after the forums etc, so each to their own, been passed on, so hopefully soon someone from staff will pop along and give their comments on it also

Sadly without things like Captcha we get massive amounts of spam and stolen credit cards using scripts place lots of false orders where we lose thousands of dollars. We understand its frustrating but we try to keep it to a minimum.
Sadly, being a gaming site, where you can buy something from us, get a steam key, which can be resold on other sites, means people can actually make a criminal living out of it. We fight them but to defeat them have to make life slightly harder for normal users to buy. I wish we didnt have to!

Ok, I just navigated through the store from a new computer / new device, and I did not encounter the captcha ...
but I did not navigate all the way through, so I'm not sure if that is still required or not to complete a purchase.
I'll try it again with the CC and if it lets me through, I'll buy. If I have to look at pictures, I won't.
And to whomever added that discontinued game I wanted to buy but couldn't ... I just did the download gratis, so ... THANK YOU, whoever you are.
My TOAW collection is almost complete. Just need to find that TOAW I disc.

I maintain that that is an unnecessary "gate" which is driving customers away from your door.

Guys if you are able to download the installer it means you already have a serial registered, which is also why you see the serial. You must have purchased it a long time ago and forgotten about it. There is no way to download a game without having purchased it, unless the game is actually free, like Order of Battle. Discontinued games are not automatically given for free. They are usually discontinued as they have been replaced by more up to date versions or we no longer have the rights.

Not nearly enough, or sites would stop trying this crap.
Thats OK nothing I want either. I gave my 50% off coupon away a couple months ago for the same reason.
