When enemy HQ is attacked / destroyed, my Leader dies...

Anyone has experienced that?
I noticed that as pattern. Destruction of an enemy HQ equals as well to the death of my leader in charge.

I'll have to do some hotseat testing bringing forth the Poles HQ toward the Germans and see what happens. But I noticed leaders die often when an enemy HQ is under attack or is destroyed.

I fear a coding matter that is just when -a HQ- is involved in combat, and not just -your HQ-.

I'll make sure they don't explode with the HQ. Thanks for spotting this.

Hmm it is releasing the general from the HQ in the code. I'll have to test it.

Well IF a HQ unit is destroyed it's okay the leader in that HQ is dead (captured or dead or else).
It's just that it is the living HQ commanding the attack that gets the commander lost, when the dead HQ of the enemy is gone!

But thanks for checking!

Blame the beta testers. All of them requested it.

Own HQ commander lost, when enemy HQ is overran?
The loss rate of own generals would be explained by that...

Exactly Meteor.

I've no issues if the general in a destroyed HQ dies!

Sounds like y'all are talking past each other a bit: You destroy an ENEMY HQ and the result is YOUR commander dies? Wow, that's harsh! [:)][;)] Gotta be a bug...

I think I know what's going on. Perhaps they are just being put back as available even though the HQ is killed.

Alvaro,
Respectfully, it seems you are still missing the claim: If you kill an enemy HQ, why would YOUR commander be killed...

Did an amount of testing in hotseat mode and it is not happening - so I take it was coincidence - it seems I just had bad luck multiple times when killing enemy HQs in the same turn that my commander in that zone died (and the commander killed is not seen anymore in the combat log so I was not sure when specifically happened). So I deemed it a bug or at least some iffy mechanic.

But now I've killed the poland HQ a dozen of times and only once the German leader in the HQ died out of the dozen.
