Airborne Effectivness?

Having a problem with using my paratroop units. What is the best way to get their effectiveness up to 100%? In the videos I have watched, some players have no problem while others do. Your advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried supply trucks?

Put the unit in a level 9 supply hex, park an HQ next to it, then use a truck if still needed.
This will bring that unit up very quickly.

Distance matters? Closer is the HQ, better is the supply?
I tought the distance for HQ doesn't matter.

Yes 9 map supply + HQ in range = best effectiveness increase
