Two questions about German OOB in the 1940 scenario.

First, I have noticed:

Two Mechanized Corps:
. II Panzer
. XIV Motorized Corps

Four Armor Corps:
. XVI Panzer
. XV Panzer
. XIX Panzer
. XIX Panzer Corps
Duplicated names?

Historically, they were five of them:
. XVI Armeekorps (mot) - Hoepner
. XIX Armeekorps (mot) - Guderian
. XLI Armeekorps (mot) - Reinhardt
. XIV Armeekorps (mot) - Wietersheim
. XV Armeekorps (mot) - Hoth

So perhaps rename one of the two to XLI Panzer

And, second question. In the 1939 scenario, for German OOB:

No Mechanized Corps

Two Armor Corps:
. XIX Panzer Corps
. XVI Motorized Corps

Given the purchase cost plus build time required, is it possible to build the 2 armor corps and the 2 mechanized corps missing before May 10th, 1940?

I am not there yet. I am just asking myself if some of them will come by an event or not.

Don't think it's possible to start in '39 and field that panzer force for May 40, considering how long a PanzerKorp requires to be built.

I managed 4 panzer and 2 mech in my game with 821bobo. It's not difficult.

Thanks. Yes that was a fat finger on the name. I fixed it to XLI Panzer Corps.

I am using Ellis's WW2 Databook for OOBs + internet resources.

In Poland the decision was based on what kind of tanks they had which were a lot of Pz 1 that has machine guns vs what the Poles had. There was much discussion on this.

Yes, I have followed the discussion but was not sure of the conclusion. So, this is possible. I will find out.

From the US Army Historical Department History on the German Polish Campaign p28

"Each Panzer division had about 300 tanks, including all 4 types then in service. The Mark I vehicle was 2-man tankette, weighed approximately 6 tons, and mounted 2 machine guns. The Mark II tank was a 3-man vehicle, weighed 111/2 tons, and mounted a 20mm gun; the Mark II and all heavier tanks had 1 or more machine guns in addition to their main armament. The Mark III model had a crew of 5, weighed approximately 2414 tons and had a 37mm gun. The heaviest tank of the period was the Mark IV, which weighed 26 tons, carried a crew of 5, and mounted a short-barreled 75mm gun. As planned, the 1st Panzer Division would have 56 Mark I, 78 Mark II, 112 Mark III, and 56 Mark IV tanks. The 2d, 3d, 4th, and 5th Panzer Divisions would each have 124 Mark I, 138 Mark II, 20 Mark III, and 24 Mark IV tanks. This figure in tank strength, particularly for the Mark III, could not be reached in all cases by the time the Panzer divisions took the field against Poland. The 4 light divisions also varied in their organization, e. g. the 1st Light Division had a motorized infantry brigade of 1 regiment and a motorcycle battalion; the 2d and 4th Light Divisions had 2 motorized infantry regiments each; and the 3d Light Division had a motorized infantry regiment and a motorcycle battalion. Each of the light divisions had an organic light tank battalion, and the 1st Light Division had an organic tank regiment."

The Light Divisions seem to be not represented at all, although I've seen other modders note there are unused slots for motorirized divisions. I don't know how the T39s are accounted ofr here.
