Hi all,

I thought I'd post this list again for all of the new players that seem to have purchased in the sale. Some useful guides and lists.
I've just gone through the bookmarks I've collected over time and thinned them out a bit. These are some I thought might be useful for the new players and for some vets who might not have one or two of them bookmarked. This will get buried quickly so if you want them make a bookmark yourself. Searching isn't easy on this forum. [;)]

Hola,

thanks for the great links!

I found specifically useful few AARs, mostly the uber-famous Mike Solli's one. Good logistics setup even if it begun few patches ago.

Well. He's in US Army logistics after all... [:D][:D][:D][:D]

I found useful also:
- Fortifications 101 by Alfred : https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.a ... 1&#2764119
- AE spreadsheet set up.
- JAP: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.a ... age=1&key=
- ALL: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2306421
- Various interventions by Alfred over combat fights (Combat Reports are quite imperscrutable to many, I think; especially beginners).

I guess I'll modify this message everytime I meet some interesting topic beginners should read. I see that my contributions above are quite general [:D][:D][:D][:D]

Thanks again, Obvert! It's very useful also for more seasoned Pacific Warriors

Not to pile on too much, but this a thoughtful thing to do. Thank you.

Thanks for the links,
I have bought the game just like a week ago, turned it on like 10 times, but never managed to endure longer than 3 minutes.
The interface seems like utter crap.

Maybe with strong will to go through it the game will become playable.

It is a meticulous game, but the turn resolution is interesting and detailed. Once you make some choices and see how they play out it gets very intriguing, addictive and hard to put away.

Play it a bit and once you understand how to make things work, you might see the benefit of the interface and detailed approach. It does take some time though. [;)]

Bump

Still a lot of new players with questions. So ...

Many of these threads are your manual, but often go much further than any manual to show how these work in play.

See original top post.

Good idea ![&o]

And to all newcomers : learn the game on the smaller scenarios, like Coral Sea, Guadalcanal and Aleutians scenarios, not on Scen #1 !
