Negative modifiers for leaders

Will adding "-" to cards and feats work as negative modifiers ?

I am not sure what you mean by that.

The cards have a %chance, as do the feats of happening. The feats and cards determine the bonuses. Those could of course be negative too.

Also Morale and Combat could be negative, which would make a leader very undesirable. Better make his PP cost negative (so he won't be easy to get rid of).

I am eeking out a US civil war mod. Poor generals were part of that history. Negative modifiers would reflect that history. Associated high political cost to change generals would be there also. Of course, then I would have to find a way to require HQs to have leaders.
