Artillery.

I've looked in the manual and couldn't find an answer. It seems that I can fire artillery and then move, but if I move first I can't fire. Is that correct?
Thanks.

You can fire as many times as you have artillery shells. Then you can move one hex, depending on the difficulty of the terrain. However, if you move first, then you can't fire later in that turn.

Thanks for the info. Another question, the starting German artillery has a strenght of 5. Does increasing it towards 10 add to its' bombardment effects or just make it harder to kill?
Thanks again.

Good question I wondered this myself?

It does both, as a unit with low strength will have lower morale and readiness than a unit at its maximum strength.

Does readiness affect the demoralization effect of a strike? I was always under the impression that it doesn't. (The same question would apply to de-entrenchment)

If not then at the opening, with no Artillery tech, then reinforcing the German artillery doesn't increase their offensive value - as their effect is only demoralisation.

As far as I remember, readiness would not have an effect on demoralization or de-entrenchment either.

Then in what respect does reinforcing an understrength artillery unit enhance its bombardment effect?

It can cause actual damage to the target, that depends on strength, which is a really nice bonus when happens, needs lvl one upgrade, to have any real chance.
