I am a mac user but play Wargames on an older (not that old toshiba - specs are fine for game.

My question is -it is a 13” MONITOR - I’ve played WITW on it fine. Is this map just too damn big for it.

Well, the map will fit, but a large screen is helpful. I know some people play on a laptop so it is doable.

13" montiors were pretty common when this was released.

I have playing WITP:AE on and off for the last eight years exclusively on 15.6inch laptops. Mostly on 1200x800 resolution, and later at 1600x900 resolution. No problems at all with seleeting bases, unit icons etc. You can get around the game map by using the clickable mini-map isntead of scrolling. If you find the colors of the stock map too saturated in relation to the game icons, you can change the map to a less saturated one. I use the Sunny Day map by Chemkid.

Somewhere in the forum I've got a detailed post on how to run AE on a MacPro if you are interested. The retina screen is really, really, nice. [:)]

I sometimes play in windowed mode on my working lap. Did more than one year game time with that. It can barely fit Korea in height and a little more than new Ireland in width. Mad resolution also. If you want, everything is doable.

Ah and I played many turns stuck in a land cruiser in the middle of the jungle with not even a mouse. Or a table.

It's just a matter of habits.
