Should this fleet have been displaced?

I invaded Amsterdam (German owned at the time) with the British in a PBEM. The fleet was the only occupant of the hex prior to landing. Should the German fleet not have been forced out to sea? Now it looks as if it co-exists in this hex.

Yea it should have. I'll check the code thanks. Who left that hex open as the Axis. Bad Axis, bad!

Me BAD Axis …… Just knew the German Navy is trustworthy

To add insult to injury - when the British division in Amsterdam tried to ship out 2 turns later - they did not and instead joined the German fleet. Lets hope they are not deserters but instead infiltrators.....
When the UK division embarked and created a fleet unit the code probably added the new fleet to the existing one and the Kriegsmarine was the only one that was available for joining.
(Scout1, please let me know if you see now a UK division among your ships in Amsterdam - just curious).

This should pi of be fixed for v4. I forgot to test it though. The code was missing do

Well the UK Div, still listed as a UK Div has joined the Wehrmacht …. They are loaded into their transports (hopefully you provided those). Checking the flotilla options, they appear to be happy to transit to any german port or invade England east of Trent …. Not sure what they'd do once there ….. in fact, not sure what they'd do once disembarked in a german port … perhaps they shouldn't be trusted by either side …..[;)]

One game design question though … (and in fairness, I don't remember if the Brit Div landed directly in Amsterdam or adjacent and moved in via land movement or not) …. But the germans had a CL/DD flotilla based there …. I would assume the german fleet would have prevented any directly naval transport move into Amsterdam ? Naval assets within a port (of some level of firepower) should by themselves prevent a transport/invasion directly into the port hex …..

Let's hope we provided the leaky floating coffins to that Division as a transport. I hope for their own well-being that they will never try to set foot on British soil again. The British public is not amused.

Well, to see what would happen, I moved my CL/DD flotilla to another port …. Your boys switched sides again … Now that their the only ones, they are floating in the harbor in their rusty ships, out of supply …. Not sure if that will magically change on your turn or not ….
