Drama on the Danube scenario- does Romania surrender the first turn

Dear all,

We started a game of drum on the Danube play by email and the Romanians have switch sides on the very first turn. Is that correct?

I started again myself and the Romanians were quite okay on the first turn... In real terms I thought they lasted three or four turns into this game.

With the Romanians leaving the game on the first turn the whole of the southern front is going to be destroyed.

Any help appreciated.

Sorry I take it back a bit I did not know too much about this campaign and indeed you can easily make Romanian surrender on the first turn so the axis cannot even move them. The problem is the conversion of the hexes but after reading the historical outcome of the first turn it's no surprise. What a mess.

Please note in this scenario and we are on turn eight no axis units are we spawning and no axis reinforcements are arriving. This scenario cannot therefore be played. I wonder if it affects any other scenarios.
