Escaping prisoners, withdrawn truce etc.

I just had 4 riflemen surrender to an Italian ATG crew who were getting decimated themselves and died shortly thereafter. I thought it was cowardly and worse, unnecessary given the situation. So, a minute later, while marching off to captivity (the enemy side of the map) an Eytie mortar shell drops on them killing two of my captured riflemen. Serves the yellow bellies right Im thinking. Then, as the mortar shell smoke clears, the surviving two riflemen suddenly arent captured anymore. 1 routs back toward the US side and the other gets the Unit icon back! He wouldnt accept orders, in fact kept rejecting movement commands with "That's suicide" but it's the first time I've ever seen a PoW get uncaptured.

Same battle (first battle on Djebel Berda in the GC) the Italians offered a truce and then withdrew it 30 sec later. Another CC first.

the Italians offered a truce and then withdrew it 30 sec later.

I've only seen that happen when all victory locations are captured by the enemy. Maybe it is different with the new update?

Surrendered soldiers can escape if there are friendly units nearby and no enemy units near, but they are unarmed and they will run to the rear.

The withdrawn truce was a pretty cagey move. Had I accepted, I wouldnt have taken an undefended objective. The moment I issued a movement order in the direction of that obj. the AI withdrew the truce. In the next battle the AI literally pulled the classic last second objective grab.
