SUPERGA - Italian Grand Campaign

Proof of concept, not a finished product. None of the Briefings are done, only the first battle is fully customized etc. But these files, especially the Grand Campaign.txt, Tunisia.txt, and Longstop Hill.txts (Operation and Battle files) can be used as a template to create a German, Italian or US campaign based on the companies seen in the Main Force window of the Scenario Editor. TBF is extremely mod friendly (like Notepad level difficulty) and will only become more so when the Map Maker tool and some form of data workbook are distributed.

Backup the .txt files in \Close Combat The Bloody First\Campaigns\MAIN\DATA\ BATTLES, OPERATIONS, AND CAMPAIGNS.

Unzip BATTLES.zip to the BATTLES directory.

Unzip the OPERATIONS.zip to the OPERATIONS directory.

Unzip the CAMPAIGNS.zip to the CAMPAIGNS directory.

Play the Grand Campaign as the Italian Superga division.

Looks interesting! The modding update we wanted is proving obstinate unfortunately, but we will be pushing out better mod support in the New Year.

Cheers

Coincidentaly, Superga was the Italian 1st Infantry Division, a mountain infantry division. Formed in 1940 in Torino and part of the 4th Army, Italian I Corps during the Italian invasion of France. Could adapt the Normandy maps for that campaign.

Nice work ineffable. As you've probably noticed there is a Superga rifle company organization in the game data already. Their organization was somewhat unique since the division had been training for an amphibious invasion of Malta until that was cancelled, leaving them first-available for shipment to Tunisia after Operation Torch.

Yes, I used the Compagnia Fanteria ‘Superga’ index# 51 on all the Africana (Tunisia) and Sicilia scenarios. Now we have to give the Americans bad teeth, inferior weapons and British accents and we can recreate the entire Desert War '40-'43.
