What does 'thermalImagingMinRange' mean?

Any weapon with a nightvision range at or above thermalImagingMinRange is considered to have thermal vision instead of regular nightvision.

As far as I know generally better spotting, even during the day. Smoke and dust also have less of an effect except for smoke from smoke shells, which is considered thermal imaging blocking smoke and is more effective.

Which will be revised and probably temporarily disabled as TI blocking smoke grenades were deployed apparently only in 1990s.

Currently only vehicle weapons can have TI systems, not infantry unit weapons. If the unit has it then you can see it mentioned in the unit specs window.
