Hello everyone and late Merry Christmas et al.!

I would like to present my newest CMO scenario. It is based on Rick Campbell's novel "Blackmail", and it covers the final major engagement in the book (reduced a bit).

Of course it is not necessary to have read the book to play the scenario, which would make some of the events happening a bit unexpected.

I would like if someone would be kind to test the scenario and see if I have jinxed it somehow, tips and tricks to improve and so on.

UPDATE 01/29/2020

- Scaled the scenario. Buffed Russia and slightly nerfed US
- Added exclusion zone to Russian side (I hope now they fire back).
- Russian cruise missile attacks should trigger somewhat earlier. Still trying to coordinate it.
- Added Mss in AEGIS hacking.
- Lua corrections

Is the book itself in a series or can it be read as a standalone?

Hey! Yeah, it is part of a series: http://www.rickcampbellauthor.com/Rick- ... tml#topic1 and they are a bit interconnected, so reading this one (it is the 4th out of 5) alone can be a bit confusing.

Thanks for this scenario, I've just downloaded it and started to play it.

I've read a couple of the Rick Campbell titles, Ice Station Nautilus and Trident Deception and enjoyed them both but not Blackmail, will need to order that now.

Going through the US OOB I find that the USS America's air complement of F-35Bs has no established load out. Otherwise, just getting started.

Good thanks! IMO, Empire Rising has a big scenario potential, although it is so massive, so I guess I recommend you that one.

UPDATE!

Started the update and am just starting the last part of Phase I - Southern AEW and Russian Carrier Group Destruction. Only sortieing 5th gen fighters for this. So far so good. Have to be mindful of the cloud deck for ID'ing targets and being spotted by hostile IRST. Having a good time thus far!

Mmmm, then the trigger has not fired properly. Did you see that in God Mode? Cause they are supposed to switch to the US side when detected inside a certain area. At least it did for me when I re-tested the scen.

I started the scenario and waited a few seconds. In GOD eyes mode i see the carrier group assigned to china (west of south india)

When should the trigger switch the side? And there are no china units, right?

Ooh okay now I get it. It is part of the surprise of the scenario, detecting a potential hostile fleet that turns out to be friendly (when you read the book it makes better sense).
