Leader questions.

From the manual:
'Combat – Affects how well each general is at inflicting damage on the enemy and reducing damage to their forces
Mobility – Affects the chances of retreating
Tenacity – Affects the intensity of combat and the chance a defender surrenders in low attacks with a less than 34% retreat chance'
1. So does Mobility only matter for the attacking force ?
2. What happens if the attackers are from two different nationalities ? Do you just use he closest Leader or does each leader impact their own troops ?
3. Can leaders apply their benefits to different nationalities ?

I wonder about 2 and 3 as well.

I am quite confident that the point 3 is a NO. When you select a HQ, it puts small banners at the side of the units it -may- support-. When you select a unit, it will put a small flag to the side of the HQ counter that commands it. Never seen it happening cross-nation.
But I'd replace it with 'what happens when units partaking to one attack are led by different leaders' when of the same nationality.?

Manual page 89.
States what each one does. Different generals are good in different situations.
Japanese generals will have crappy mobility and combat values but the highest tenacity
Panzer generals have high mobility and combat with average tenacity
American generals have decent mobility, high combat, and average tenacity
As an example.

Manual page 89.
Have read the manual but am not clear on these questions.
Question 1, can you clarify if only the attacking leaders Mobility that is used or is it a combination of attackers and defenders mobility.
Question 2 & 3 are not clear from the manual.

Mobility – Affects the chances of retreating
You compare both leaders. If the attacker is better than the defender it is bonus to the chance of retreat. If the defending leader is better it is a lower chance to retreat
Combat – Affects how well each general is at inflicting damage on
the enemy and reducing damage to their forces
The better general will inflict more losses on the worse general.
Tenacity – Affects the intensity of combat and the chance a defender
surrenders in low attacks with a less than 34% retreat chance
The higher BOTH generals are the more casualties there are. Also any defending general with a high tenacity will have a greater chance to fight to the last man and not surrender. Which means basically every Japanese commander would be pretty much a 9 in this category. A high tenacity also affects the defender's chance to retreat, shatter, and surrender.
These aren't overwhelming game breaking amounts but it makes a difference over time. In the Pacific the USA player will pretty much literally have to destroy the Japanese unit in most cases.

Can you address question 2 and 3 please. It's like you are ignoring them.

Each country uses their own leader. It is based on who the attacker is under the unit selector.
So as Germany you always want to be attacking as a German not a Romanian.

But if that Romanian unit gets attacked it uses a Romanian general.

That is precious to know.
Edit: Referring that the leader used for the combat is the one of the unit selected for the attack. - I deducted already through in-game mechanics by checking flags national leaders command their own nations.

So this would mean... Select US Corp to attack first, if you want to use Patton, then say for instance hold shift/control to add 3 British Corps and the leader of the attack would be Patton still?

That's how I understood it.
Til now it was just casual for me to attack with any unit of a group...

Or it all could have been cleared up if he added the General used in each battle in the reports. The astute players would have figured it out by experimentation. Since that info isn't meaningful to be hidden in HvH, he might as well add it to the battle reports come to think of it
