I feel they're here as cameo right now, without a real utility.
But hopefully the thread may inspire a discussion!

Small sized Elite specialized division? Less risky than a large Korp or small corp or better suited to the job? Maybe has uses for raids? Depends if games go the distance and Axis garrisons get thin.

Be nice if they could disembark as well?

I have one in my game, cuz it looks kinda cool [8D]

I have used them against the AI to capture Greek Ports, Soviet Ports and Norway (may not be viable against Humans as they have planes on interdiction). They can take ports or beaches without a unit on same turn using landing ships.
Otherwise too weak against a full fledged large corps.
