hi slaphappy

the scenarios are getting more advanced , and for myself some seem unwinnable .
but for my skill level ,I don't consider every VP as essential , a minor victory for myself is very acceptable , should I jag a major victory , well ,
I will annoy the missus by dancing around the room
but i do find replaying the missions , even if you then have an idea of the enemy positions , gives you a better idea of
what the scenario makers are trying to do , make it as hard as they can for those who know the in`s and out`s of the game .
tonight i played - defensive positions of outreau.
one of the original scenarios , played as the german forces .
i played it 3 times ,
eventually i got a major victory , but the first 2 a british MMG never seemed to lose ROF , the AT guns seemed to not only keep
their ROF but within a couple of shots take out anything that moved .
a lonely british 4-5-8 troop when i did take entrenched positions in the south of the map , broke the first entrenched position ,
and broke the next group when i moved them up
he was like some insane SAS unit that sat out in the open and killed any unit that come near him.
the 3rd try was completely different , their AT`s and Mg`s broke down within a couple of turns , my OBA seemed to hit within
a couple of squares where i aimed , and all of a sudden i had a half squad that could move , and not assualt move , next to a group
of 3 - 4-5-8`s with an officer and not break .
In reference to your comment , i don`t think all scenarios can be won from all sides , many are created for the defender or the attacker .
but they are not impossible , there is a lot of time put into developing these scenario`s.
the luck of the god`s will help
