39 Scenario ….

All the Allies start with a fairly significant production upkeep demand which keeps their stockpiles relatively low while both Axis powers have 0 production upkeep …..

What's up with that ?

Germany was built up early on. Allies were poorly prepared.

So is as designed ….. I noticed the Axis upkeep changes from 0 to some value after turn 1 …. Also as designed ?

Noppers …. I ran the same kind of test and did NOT attack ANYTHING as the germans on any turn …. the upkeep automatically went from 0 on turn 1 to 70 something on turn 2 all by itself …

I can understand the argument that the germans were better prepared, but upkeep should strictly be based on assets all ready in play, should they not ?

Upkeep also includes upgrading units as well as repairing them. Isn't one of the fighters a lower tech to start?

Germany has 1 Panzer and quite some fighters that are '39, and can go up to '40. That's where the Unkeep comes from.
It's not real 'unkeep' but replacements and upgrades.

Italy has plenty of understrength forces.

It would be really nice if a report was available each turn to show where the upgrades went. Maybe not a pop up every turn but a report that shows how much production went to one unit. It can be really hard to get a sense of how much is required to repair all units and do upgrades.

I agree, "upkeep" is a poor choice of wording. It should say "spent", that would be a more accurate phrasing to describe what occurred during turn execution and what the figure represents. There is no turn after turn persistent production upkeep for units, the logistics values is what covers that concept in game.

It would be nice to see some estimate of the total cost should all non-filled units, theoretically, be dealt with at once. It could be presented in the Reinf./Upgrade box, below the adjustable setting.

I'll take it into consideration
