I was explaining Warplan to my younger son and showed him the combat reports. Although slightly improved along the way, they still are still somewhat hard to understand (IMHO). In the sense that it is not instantly clear what actually happened.

Here is another example of a confusing report:

The Allies perform a ground strike on my forces. There are two friendly units in the hex, a land unit and an air unit.
One apparently suffered 1 step loss in the attack. Which one I can not see in the report. And it futher more says under Defender Losses that the enemy forces suffered a loss. Ehm, those 2 units are friendlies since I am the Axis.

That I can remember anything in "Last" tab is the enemy on their last move.
Anything in "Current" is what you have done on your now turn.

The few exceptions might be interceptions.

Would do good to know also nationality.
Like if an air unit is USA or UK, etc and which units take the losses.
