Manpower limits

Post by ineffable »

Sometimes you want to do a smaller scale battle or op. The dev kindly included a wide selection of main force platoons as well as companies. Perfect for those 2 battle spoofed-ops or when you want to limit the AI's force size while you command a small combat patrol. Unsure if TBF would support a grand campaign using platoons. That would be elite+ difficulty as even a small amount of attrition in a battle could set you back for the entire op.

So you are saying that the platoons can be modded into the game? That is a pretty big improvement and would give great flexibility instead of having to choose the larger formations, or nothing. For example, and engineer company comes with a whole lot of engineers and that's it. Thanks.

Just bought the game - and went straight to the scenario editor to explore and play.
Love small meeting engagements with the 'remnants of the xyz' coming across the enemy ....

What I wanted was some way to build smaller amounts of units - seems like there's a way?

How do I do that?

Mant thanks!

Download the graphic guide to all TBF OOBs. This is a visual list of all the stock OOBs (Orbats), including single teams, that can be used in TBF scenarios.

Open one of your scenario files in Notepad. These are found in \Documents\My Games\CloseCombatTheBloodyFirst\Scenarios. It will look similar to the example below, minus my #comments and definitions:
