After liberating France and crossing into Germany, the Allied forces are having problems with German partisans in their rear. I have never had this problem before. Did the last patch unleash some devilry?

Unit partisan or damaged rail?

Germany has a scorched earth policy so you will get NOTHING.

After the Allies have taken France back, German divisions spring up on French soil. Just as ordinary partisans, but in a very wrong place.

It is the 1941 scenario.

PBEM or AI game?

I was doing the 1941 scenario for about 6 months after taking back France. I didn't see any German partisans. So you have to be a bit more detailed by what you mean. Did you attack Vichy for example?

Yes, that I did – DoW Vichy. Was it Vichy units I saw?. That would make sense to some degree (and they're grey too, aren't they?). They also showed up in the South of France mainly. I will play some turn more to see if they reappear. Then I will know better.

Note: I have added beta changes as I played on. Think I started the game close on new year, and now have latest patch.

Definately German. But in Vichy territory, and I don't think I've seen any North of the frontier. Game-wise, mechanically, it isn't totally wrong, considering that the AI might see Vichy territory as German, but it does stretch imagination somewhat.

Ahh ok well that explains it. The Germans didn't collapose vichy.

I must have marked them as for partisans. I will fix it in the scenario scripts to automatically have them join the Allies at a certain point. Thanks for the catch. Is this an A.I. game or a PBEM game?

I just figured the Axis would conquer Vichy before 1944 to prevent a landing.

Did you declare war on Vichy or was it already collapsed by Germany?

Nevermind I see what happened. I put an Annex instead of a ChangeTerritory script.

I DoW Vichy, and then, the turn after I gather, Germany declared war on Vichy too. That surprised me a bit, but I just played on, not thinking more about it.
