Am not sure if I understand this correctly but there seem to be three types of convoy in the game:

Tribute convoys, from Minors to their Major country. They cannot be attacked by subs.
Auto convoys, from Neutrals to Majors (eg. Persian Oil or Sweden Iron Oar) or LendLease. They can be attacked.
Created convoys, from Majors to Major or Minor allies. They can be attacked.

But the convoy map shows all convoys.
Would it not make it easier to follow if the convoy map just showed convoys that can be attacked.

There is always a convoy that can be attacked. Either the origin or destination player is in an alliance.

So flip this around. I am a neutral Italian player.

Why can't I see my convoys in 1939 when I am neutral? Now I have to answer this post 50x as to why.

Players have a general idea of who is sending whom resources.
