Interdiction oil usage

Is it correct that interdicting supplies counts as one attack for oil use and interdicting naval movement costs one attacks for oil use for each and every air unit attacking ?

So for example if I have 5 tactical bombers interdicting supply and 5 interdicting naval movement that would use up 3x5 + 3x5 = 30 Oil.

I think that comes for free - admittedly I hope so or it would be extreme...

Naval units intercepting cost nothing of course
If an air unit intercepts it costs oil.

Only 1 air unit or 1 naval unit intercepts and they have to have operation points in the enemy turn.

So an air unit can only do it twice.
A naval unit can do it twice.

So if you have an air unit and naval unit in range of incoming fleets it can intercept a total of 4 times. Air units using oil twice.

OK thanks, that makes sense.

That is a lot of oil for port interdiction - which is often of little or no value. Will have to think more carefully about where I position my air units.

Naval interception has a lot of value. You put any fleet and a plane in an area you your enemy won't be cheese invading you anytime soon with some crappy division.

A) They don't know the disposition of your forces
B) They have to send quite a large fleet so that transported land unit isn't sunk.
C) Now they sit there. The enemy can move planes in range and attack the same turn on their turn.

It gives players lots of options without over complicating the situation.

Your enemy sends in a DD, makes your air / ship spend its action point, and then invade scott free.
IF the invasion is that relevant.

1 patrol group can't do that. They would need 4 assuming the enemy only has 1 fleet and 1 air available.
