Newfoundland was an unindependent state until 1934. It occurs a report, that canadian and newfoundlandian troops are mobilized to set sail to Great Britain but Newfoundland is not a unindependent state in the game.

Newfoundland acquired Dominion status in 1907 (the Dominion of Newfoundland), and was a self-governing semi-independent state of the British Empire during the WWI. They raised the 1st Newfoundland Regiment to fought in the WWI, independent from Canadian regiments.

It was actually from 1934 onward (till 1949) that Newfoundland legislature voted itself out of existence and accepted direct control from British government.

They took tragic loses first day of the Somme battle.

It would be correct if Newfoundland would be occuring as an independent minor country of Great Britain like Canada. It had the same status of a dominion.

Indeed, that will be a really nice detail.

Also it makes me wonder the status of Newfoundland in the previous WWII strategic command games. IIRC in both WIE and WAW the in-game Newfoundland is part of the Canada, rather than under the direct control of British government (due to this direct control, Newfoundland actually DOW on Germany earlier than Canada's DOW).
