I've recently moved and now I am lucky enough to have my own home space/office. Now I want to decorate it with a few great military history-themed paintings, the only constraint being that it should be (slightly) lesser-known work and campaigns. Not really looking for stuff on D-Day or Gettysburg, for example. I thought maybe I would ask here as folks on this forum probably have tons of great ideas!

I don't really have any specific campaigns/eras I'm looking for -- open to pretty much anything. A few areas I thought might have some interesting artwork: the fall of Constantinople, battle of Lepanto, Napoleon in Russia (anything Napoleonic really), Peloponnesian War, Xenophon's Anabasis, any Age of Sail naval engagement. Also may be nice to include a couple of period campaign/battle maps. I realize I can find stuff googling around, but I value this forum's ideas much higher than search engines!

I read about how their charged disrupted the French attack at Waterloo and how it saved the Allied cause.

Another option would be to find puzzles, put them together, glue them, frame them, then hang them like a judge . . .

It's the framing that will cost you.
You might want to practice on smaller prints, then see if you can tackle the larger ones.
Some of my special signed editions have cost me $200-$400 bucks to frame correctly for preservation.

Interesting as it is a painting of Marshal Ney during one of his charges against the British squares at Waterloo. (Which is double not historical, as Ney believed he was chasing Brits that were running away and as he crested a ridge he discovered the squares behind it. But, it is hard to stop a charge when all the cavalry had joined in.)
