game won't launch due to font error, missing text in launcher

Hello, I reinstalled the game today after not playing since April 2019, and I have not been able to boot up the game. Also the text in the three launcher buttons is invisible. I cannot post the crash log due to antispam filters, but it has to to do with the verdana regular font.
