v.1.01.02

Corps and mountain corps have exactly the same combat values.
Where should we see the difference here now? [&:]

In the manual it specifically writes they get bonuses attacking or defending in mountains. I guess it isn't a stat difference but maybe they get a readiness bonus when on mountains. Or even, if you check the defense values of a mountain you might find a "defender is mountain unit +x (?).

Who is looking for ...

So there is something in the manual.
Well hidden and superficial.
There should be in-game information.

What remains in the end: RTFM

Looking at the editor, mountain troops get a +1 bonus in mountain terrain compared to the normal Corps. It works as designed but is not visible because when you check the properties of a unit, those will not change according to the hex you are in. Those are a baseline. Within the game engine though, that bonus exists.

+1 bonus for?

• Movement?
• Attack?
• Defend?
• ...?

Thank you.

Mountain troops are actually expected to have advantages in their movement.
That this is not the case must be owed to balancing.

I looked for a movement bonus but did not find one. That could be a result of simply not finding it. It can be less than easy to find things in the editor and I am far from an expert.

I would think it would be hard to have a movement bonus in terms of hexes moved. Just adding one hex as a bonus would represent a large percentage increase over a Corps' movement in mountains. The bonus could also be of morale or readiness being reduced less for movement in mountain terrain. That would make more sense, especially readiness, to me but I am not familiar enough with those aspects of the editor to know. If I get a chance, spare time has been rare for me these past few weeks, I'll see if I can find something.

Hi

Just to clarify, Mountain units receive +1 to some combat values, as offenseman has said, but no movement bonus.
