I see that when a unit is attacked, and don´t suffer casulties, their readiness and morale increases? Is this intended? As I remember this dosent´t happen in the ww2 game.

That would be... weird
It might be that the figure that gets *displayed* to you changes, if e.g. you start to see the effect of an enemy HQ lurking behind the unit you're attacking?

Yes, successful combat increase morale, losses decrease, usually even one loss will overcome the gain, but if you must attack fortresses or just got unlucky and that 2:2 turned into 4:0 it can be quite annoying.

A 2:2 prediction will never become a 4:0 (unless the attack reveals hidden fire support), the prediction differs +-1 at max.

Yes, successful combat increase morale
Really?
I can't see this mentioned in the manual anywhere, are you sure?

Yep, you can see it with a unit in verdun, let the enemy attack, suffer lots of loss, and the unit morale (or readiness or both, don't remember, but its direct combat value) skyrockets.

It does seem to increase by a lot, which just seems off. When listening to interviews of soldiers, they seem to share the view that repeated attacks really hammers the morale. Maybe overcoming the first attack might increase it, but I don´t think it really reflects combat accurately. Since it is not working like this in WW2 world at war, it would be interesting to know if it is a bug, or if there are some thoughts behind it. But it has made me stopped attacking when the odds are 0:0, as it rrally makes it difficult, if I fail to inflict casulties. It might also be the reason the AI is worse off than in WW2, as they constantly attack even with bad odds.
