Game crashed out completely and closed entirely. v1.00.05

That's a directX issue. It happens with all games. SC3 it has happened a couple times. Even WarPlan it has happened to me once.

Make sure your DirectX is updated and your video card drives.

Out of curiosity... did you just start it up or was playing game after game after game loading going back to main menu repeat?

Just normal mid-turn play.
