Could you please consider adding two more columns in the Reports and Statistics -> Units tab?

1. Add a new column, between Name column and Strength column, named Advancement Level displaying what the unit has.

For example, things like:
Closed Support 1942
Breakthrough 1943
Assault 1940
Detection & Electronics 1942
...

2. Add a new button called Advancement to sort these values.

3. Add a column, after all the other ones, displaying the name of the General assigned to an HQ unit.

For example, things like:
Albert Kesselring
John Lord Gort
Alphonse Georges
George S. Patton
...

Now that I am thinking of it, adding a column for one unit type is not a good idea. Thus, for above point number 3, it would be better to just add a tooltip with the name of the general of a given unit. For example, it could be when the mouse is hovering the HQ symbol for each line of the table.

I dont have enough space and I need to keep this at a certain font size and width. It would also add too much information on the screen. Which is a problem many games have. Perhaps future editions will have an icon. I have to think about this.

But, thinking of it, why don't you add a new panel like for the HQ?

This table may contain something like:
The unit name
The unit advancement
The unit special ability if any

I know the special abilities are already in the Units panel but they are so small that it is difficult to read.

Call the new panel Abilities or Capabilities or Tech or something like this.

Just proposing an alternative to the room problem...

While your on special abilities, please make it possible a unit gets more than one special ability if so desired.
Adding "eliteness" to 50% experienced Italian unit only boosts it to 60%, NOT elite territory. 70%(?), now you're talkin'.

Yes, but I don't think it matters as long as your changes match the window size.

Look, I made a prototype for you. I respected the size of the window.

1. I have introduced a new Techs button at the top of the window between Headquarters and Message. There is enough room.

2. I have added two columns one for Advancements and one for Special Abilities. In the example, I put all possible combinations of advancements and of special abilities even the longest ones.

3. And there is still room for a scrollbar on the right side.

What do you think? Seems feasible.

I have just realized there is something important missing in my above prototype.

As you know, this is not a good idea to merge an infantry division with another one or with a small corps if it has not the same type of advancement.
For example, merging a division with Assault 1939 and a small infantry corps with Assaut 1941 will give you a large infantry corps with Assaut 1939.

The way I am playing the game, I am trying to merge lonely division with infantry small corps of the same advancement level.
I am even building division of a given advancement to obtain a large infantry corps, with a small infantry corps, whenever this is possible.

Thus, the only way to see the size of an infantry unit in the report is to check the Strength column:
xx/30 and I know this is an infantry large corps
xx/20 and I know this is an infantry small corps
xx/10 and I know this is an infantry division

As such, what is important in my prototype is to add this Strength column.

And if you want to keep the way Special Abilities are displayed today, or if you have not enough room, another example without the Abilities column.
But, I would definitely prefer the above one.

Thanks a lot Alvaro. And, of course, if you can include the useful sorting buttons (EDIT: only the ones still applicable of course) at the bottom of this window plus a new button to sort the Advancement types.

And while we're at it, why not add:

2. The ability to click a unit's name and change it from here.

With the current data structure I can't do that easily. So this might not happen for a while.
