Random Scenario Generator?

I am curious as to whether there exists some form of random scenario generation. I am relatively new to the game and I couldn't find anything related on while scrolling through the forums and the game itself so I decided I would ask myself. If anyone is aware of anything related to my question then informing me would be greatly appreciated.

No, the game does not in any way have a function whereby the computer will generate a random map w/ random forces that you can play.

With literally hundreds of scenarios why would you need one?

AFAIK the map cannot be randomized, however, it is possible to randomize objectives and forces using events. The biggest limitation is the amount of effort the scenario designer wants to put into building and deploying OOBs. Also, the more objectives and forces that are randomized, the more difficult it becomes to program the OWPI. Once randomization exceeds the complexity threshold it becomes playable only by PBM.

There is no random game generator as in Advanced Tactics.

If I recall, there is switch somewhere that already maps / forces can have some variations from the gate?

So that they don't play the same every go? Not sure, I think it was called "scenario variability"?

Memory rusty. Was that only in ACOW?

Quoted from the manual:

"Scenario Variability: Turning this off will cause Scenarios to always end exactly on the historical ending Turn. Any events with a 50% or greater possibility will always occur, and any events with less than 50% probability will never occur."

Yes, thanks, that is what I was thinking of ... but I thought there was one also that would vary starting points?

Or maybe I'm thinking of another game. Okay, well, I'll stop thinking and play some more. Thanks again!

There are a few scenarios that provide variables using Theater Options and/or events which work behind the scenes.
