New Units -- Map Centres on Capital

Dear Tech Support,

I wouldn't call this a bug, but since the v.1.17 upgrade of Strategic Command: WWII War in Europe a new feature automatically centres the map on a nation's capital whenever you first click on a new unit from the force pool.

This feature is, I suppose, tolerable when you are placing units in a small country like Bulgaria or maybe even France, but it is less useful -- and frankly quite annoying -- when you are placing units for Russia and Germany in particular. You may, for example, be moving Russian forces in the Caucuses or near Sevastopol or near Leningrad or near Murmansk when you decide you need to add a reinforcement, but when you click on the unit from the force pool drop down box the map suddenly -- and unhelpfully -- centres on Moscow. Then you have to scroll all the way back to where you just were 2 seconds ago and, well, you get the idea. Most annoying indeed.

Ideally, I would ask you to remove this feature and revert back to the old procedure. But as an alternative, can you at the very least make this feature one of the options/settings instead?

Thanks for you time!

Thanks for the feedback and I have an idea here that will likely resolve this by making it a smarter process overall. I'll test and confirm and it won't require any additional options, just hopefully if it works out as I plan, it will simply work more intuitively and not cause headaches for you like the situation you described above.

Everything will remain as is, with the exception of the following change, and ideally this resolves the issue:

- New Units to be placed on the map will now only center on a capital city location whenever the current map does not highlight a viable placement position (MJY).
