WWII - Sweden (Axis) vs England (Allies)

So we are looking at a 5-player PBEM. Teams and optionals to be confirmed.

Players

Team Sweden (Axis)
Orm ?
PeskPesk ?
GeneralAdvance (Italy)

Team England (Allies)
AllenK ?
warspite1 ?

We are looking to inject a faster pace to this multi-player. Although we will be in charge of our own designated powers, any player can give orders for his side if the owning player is unavailable.

Hopefully we can mitigate any falling out over 'pants' decisions by lots of comms so we all have some idea what our team mate(s) are thinking.

We shall see.....

My Preference is to play with Cruisers In Flames

I don't mind 1D10 (with Blitz) or 2D10

I don't like Forts - just more clutter without the benefit of having a sexy unit on the map.

Over to the others

I've started a game going. I think these are the optionals we have settled on.

Suggested Standing Order: Subs in major ports subjected to port attack are not included in combat.

Agreed.

Suggested Standing Order 2: No CAP - unless possible CAP use is mentioned beforehand - and only used at special and rare occasions

Sounds good to me.

Edit: House rule is only Strategic Bombing can be flown as a night mission.

Gents - I forgot about this. Can we please forget CAP. No one ever remembers it and, for some totally unknown reason, it REALLY annoys me [:D] What do you reckon?

That is ok with me.

It has been used a couple of times only during all the turns I've played like this. Although when it has been used it has been when it was fairly important.

Lend Lease

I've sought to give the CW some range to their fighter arm - albeit these aircraft are pretty poor.

The French also get a decent bomber should they last sufficient time to buy one.

The US destroy what looks like a pile of poo (technically speaking). There are some ropey 3-3 TRS but I seem to recall Brian Brian saying don't get rid of Allied lift.... so.....

The set-up will take about 2 minutes as I have a wee while to put errors right.....

I won't bother posting a picture. The navy is split between Norfolk and San Diego and most air and land units are on the west coast.

Instead I'll post a picture from Norfolk, England... which is nowhere near Norfolk Virginia where the US Fleet are....

You lost me [&:] HOWEVER, for the avoidance of doubt, THIS is the main thread for this AAR. Apologies for the earlier confusion, I'm afraid there is a war on and it's impossible to get the staff.
