Old games display issues

Had a bit of nostalgia hit me yesterday and downloaded two older games.

Commander Europe at war Grand Strategy and Crown of Glory Emperor's edition.

When I try to launch both games, I end up with just the top left corner of the game screen in the display area of my monitor. In other words imagine the screen with a vertical and horizontal line dividing the game screen creating 4 boxed areas (top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right), I only see the box on the top left, the other three boxes are off screen.

Anyone know a work around for this display issue? I know the games are old, but I'm hoping there is a command switch I can use or something to force the games to display properly so I can play them.

I'm running windows 7 pro 64 bit operating system on an Intel Core i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz with 16 gigs of RAM and I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti with I think 4 Gigs of VRAM, might be 6 not sure.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Jim

Thanks Zak, but I run win 7 pro 64 bit. It doesn't have the legacy option in features.

Here's a screenshot of what I see (image resized by 75% to fit forums, but image edges are my monitors screen edges, no cropping done). When I hit esc to leave this screen, it goes to the screen where you select a game (still only small area in top left visible) and it drops to desktop after about 3-5 seconds.

Figured it out, I had 150% DPI font settings set in windows. Turning it down to 100% allowed the game to launch properly.
