Hi,
Are there multiplayer options or hopes to include them in the future? Or is this just intended to be a single player experience?
Regardless, super excited for this game.

My guess is that PBEM will be available. But it's just a guess. Needs to be confirmed by the dev.

I am not sure if you ever played any of God's wargames (Advanced Tactics Gold, Decisive Campaigns x2), but the Single Player experience (AI) is the best in the universe. But yes, multiplayer is a great thing.

Hi BattleMoose. Hope you are well.
Hey, funny story but my daughter had some issues with a rental property last week and I stumbled across a post on Whirlpool.net.au with your username from some years ago and thought it must have been you.

I was going to email you but they got it sorted.
Anyhow, yes multipler can be either hotseat or PBEM. From what I can tell it isn't run through a server like Dominions - just sharing the game file. Up to 4 players can play and you can password protect your turn. Also have an option to not allow save-scumming during your turn - no 'mulligans'.
Cheers

War in the Pacific, another matrix game worked like this. Its a little clunky but still provided most excellent gameplay experiences.
Glad your daughter managed to get her issues sorted out.

Shame if it isn't run through the Slitherine PBEM++ system as it is so easy to use.
I am too much of a neanderthal to start sending email files [:)]

I started playing Advanced Tactics Gold recently again with a friend and getting tired of sending files to each other I hacked together a little savegame syncing app for us:
https://github.com/noldofinwe/SavegameManager
If it doesn't have the Slitherine PBEM++ system, I'll update it for Shadow Empire. The big disadvantage for most people will be that you need to a Microsoft Azure account to use it.
An Azure subscription is free, but a storage account to sync between will cost a little (with one savegame €0.01 per month [:D]).
