Is it possible in the game to adjust artillery fire when the fire impacts on target.I have searched the manual and the forums but cannot find any reference to this important question.

The fire mission can be adjusted only after the guns have stopped firing.

Does that mean if you have an observed fire mission firing one round that you have to go through the whole process of redoing that fire mission to a new more accurate target then using fire for effect which might take as long again to organise?

or is there a small adjustment that can be made for the second fire mission without a long time penalty?

You can use the 'set target' button to make adjustments when the guns are not firing. If you make a small adjustment or have the new target close to a TRP then the delay is much shorter.

Another big issue related to adjusting a target is that once it is done and the fire mission is complete, you cannot record that target as you do in real life in case you have to fire on that location again or even adjust another tgt close by and reap the benefit of a shorter time delay. So in reality, you have to go through the whole process again.
