Question on Leader math

#4 Leaders and Factions

Among other things, I was curious about how the leader impacts die rolls. I started looking at the detailed stat screens of the two leaders provided; Aries Bulkhead and Bella Clarke from the tutorial above #4 Leaders and Factions. I cannot figure out how this works.

1) Suitability Rating. I do not see any math correlation to that number. I imagine that is some variety of factors that is supposed to aid the player at a glance, .,I think.

2) The many Green SKILL ratings. For Aries, shouldn’t the stat be 38 (Interpersonal)+0? For Bella, shouldn’t it be something like 35 (int) +36 (TR)? And with Bella, what are the additional +0 up to +7 coming from?

3) Same thing with the yellow SKILL ratings. I cannot figure out how the math works (Charisma) for either.

4) What is the math for LVL, STAT, and FEAT. What do you do with the TOT figure? Is that the Dice modifier?

Thanks,

1. It is indeed just a rating to give the player a quick idea... the higher the better.

2. The IPR, TR and CR are also ratings... in this case they reflect the highest skill in their skill group.

3. The total skill effect is base skill level + stat bonuses + feat bonuses + (highest skill in group/2). The stat bonus is however gradual and is lower for low level skills.

4. the TOT figure is the skill effect which is normally added to a 1d100 and tested against a certain difficulty level.

Hello God of Wargaming,

2) For Bella, her INT is 48, is it correct for me to assume it should be 58? It appears that in the case of Bella, her FEAT of 10 is not included in her INT, thus not accounting for her Medal of Merit - is that how you wanted it to be?

Thank you, this is going to be the greatest game of all time.
