Anti Air Defence and Advancement

Slowly working my way through the manual while playing a solo game as the Axis to see how it works in the game. In the manual it says you can add up to 6 anti air points to a hex. I went to one of the hexes in Germany but couldn't figure out how to do this. I don't see a hot key and I tried to right click etc with no luck.
In regards to advancements do you spend points on it and if so how do you do it? For example, let's say I wanted to make the advancement of heavy tanks a priority, how is this done?
I don't find the manual detailed enough to answer many of my questions. It basically describes what something is but not necessarily the method or procedures of that feature or option.

I forgot to ask, I assume that fleets that have a CV have a better chance of interception, correct?

Some of the numbers/values on units are obvious but others aren't. When you move the cursor on some values there is an explanation, for others nothing. For example on the bottom right of a German air unit for supply it reads 32/3. At the top left is a value for oil. I did an air attack on a ground unit to see what values changed. I saw the oil at the top left decrease by 3 so now I know what the 3 to the right of the slash means. What about the value of 32, what does that mean? Secondly the top number on the left seems to be the total oil that can be spent on what? Air operations? Does the program replenish that number from turn to turn?

I also attacked an airfield. If enemy air units are in the same hex as the airfield and they are set to full support I assume they come up to intercept but this would be if they are fighters, correct? So is bombing airfields to catch non fighter/interceptors on the ground? Does an airfield suffer damage?

I assume the anti-air value of a air unit is it's strength in air combat?

I know these are very basic questions but the answers are not in the manual (or I missed it) and you don't always get an explanation when moving the cursor over the value.

Thanks.

Unlike other games repairs and upgrades are done by the computer. Page 31 of the 1.00.06 manual has the table. Setting a unit in "priority" means that it will get repaired/upgraded before any other unit following that same table but for priority units.

CVs - Yes.

Most icons in the game have a hover tooltip. Page 60 of the 1.00.06 manual shows a picture of a unit and what things represent. The upper left oil is your oil stockpile. The 32/3 is the port supply cost and the oil use cost when you attack.

Intercepting - yes

AA value - only if it is a bomber group other wise the air sup group will intercept then use it's AA. Hexes do not suffer damage but air groups suffer effectiveness loss so this is represented abstractly.

It is a formula. Click the "details" button (above the green plus priority button) of the unit and you will see it's combat values. Each strength point gives a chance for damage based on these factors, the experience, and the effectiveness.

Alvaro, thank you for your prompt reply. I will definitely check out the information you provided. Just a comment about the icon for Prioritized for reinforcement. The difference after clicking is so subtle that you really have to look closely to see the difference. I assume that all units start as a negative and clicking will prioritize them. It looks like the background in the icon gets slightly greyer? Maybe something more noticeable would be appropriate.

The unit counter also gains a green cross, which is quite noticeable, if reinforcements are prioritised
