Questions on Convoy Raiding

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Questions on Convoy Raiding

Post by TaipanDan »

This game was surprisingly easy to learn thanks to a great manual, but need a little help on a few things:

1. If you put 2 subs on the same convoy route, do they both cause equal damage? Or is it better to split them between routes? i.e. is there a diminishing return stacking subs on a route?

2. Assuming the same season, do all convoy routes to UK provide the same return in MPP?

3. Manual says subs will automatically raid if on or "adjacent" to a route. What if it's adjacent to 2 routes like in the screenshot attached? Or in the UK where the Convoy routes merge to port - how does the system know which route to raid or does it raid both routes at once?

I suppose if all convoy routes are worth the same MPP then question #3 doesn't really matter..

4. Are the white convoy routes just where a country hasn't joined the war yet? Or does it also happen if they shutdown in winter?

Hi

Each convoy route has a different MPP value, and it is generally best to spread them over different routes because there will be diminishing returns from raiding the same route.

If a sub is adjacent to two routes then it raids the more profitable one.

White convoy routes are inactive ones.
