Paratroop question

Can Italian paratroopers use German aircraft?
Can British paratroopers use US aircraft?

no, as airlift transporters are built and owned by national resources and they are displayed in national support pool

Yes but how about the air unit that has to sit on top of the paratrooper?

No, but an air unit should be in range. by that i mean the range between airunit and paratrooper need to be in 8 hexes. However the range a paratrooper could be dropped is not clearified in manuel, neither is the "weather clear" is limitting paratrooper or airunit.

So you need both a air transport for that nationality and also any air unit type within range of the drop? The air units range is a factor? Think the manual needs to be more clear on this. It doesn't mention anything about the need for an on-map air unit.
