Good evening,

I downloaded and installed v1.17.01. When trying to load game mods I had been working on in the
editor I get this error:

FAILED (retrieve)
File Read Error

Any help is appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Were they much older mods, from before v1.15 etc? Or recent ones that you were able to edit under v1.16 or v1.17?

Were they also WiE mods? Just asking to make sure they were for this game and not another version of SC3 as that could also be an issue.

Definitely not another version of SC3. However, the version was for SC War in Europe was 1.15.

Thanks for the info and it sounds like you'll need to convert them to the latest version of SC WiE. Some data structure changes were made behind the scenes that essentially rendered v1.15 and older incompatible with the latest.

If you navigate to your installation folder, and then the Extras folder, there is then a Campaign Conversion folder.

Inside there is an EXE for converting your customized campaigns from v1.15 and older, as well as a PDF README file you should definitely read first.
