I like playing Victory, Heart of Courage, Star Sky and a few others by Two Steps From Hell. There's a good video to go along with Victory too involving a US DD and some attacking Japanese aircraft.

about 10 years ago i bought a book called the Top 100 Billboard Hits from 1950 to 2000. I found a way to listen to all 58,000+ songs on youtube or other sites and downloaded the 5,741 songs i liked best. I now listen to them all the time. My two sons will let me know if there is a newer song that they think i would like and i have added about 50 or 60 more since. I've had virtually nothing to do with any radio, television, newspaper or magazine since then.

If that works for you then great, but I would say you may be missing out on so much great music if you just take from the billboard:

- great Classical tracks
- tracks from albums that weren't singles but were great anyway
- theme music from TV shows, adverts and films

So many great pieces of music.... so little time [:)]

some very good points warspite

when i found artists i liked i dug deep and ended up with many hundreds of songs that were not on the billboard list.

my songs follow a bell curve

very few in the 50s more towards the later

very few in the 90s more towards the earlier

peak years are '66 and '67

amazing things were going on in music in those days

British invasion, motown, surf, folk, the start of hard rock, aor, garage bands, bublegum, girl groups etc.

give me anything with a beat.

My better half hates it, but I like the Amazon Prime playlist - select artist (weird IT coding decision) that comes up when you select Gordon Lightfoot. Right in that 60/70 early 80s genre.

I mainly listen to two kind of music.

A) Electronic (lately a lot of France 78)
B) Opera, especially from Puccini who was from my little town in Italy and with whose operas I grew up. Also, it is quite funny to listen to Madama Butterfly who makes seppuku at the end of the opera while you play Japan...

Then I have some african music (both traditional and more modern such as the zambrock) and classic rock

Doing that you also miss out on Led Zeppalin since none of their songs were singles. Otherwise "Stairway To Heaven" would have made number 1.

Isn't it funny how our music, over time, went from the popular station, to the classic station, and finally to the oldes station??? Getting old....GP

[&o]....+1 .... as my daughters remind me all the time [8D]

But the majority of posters in this forum are playing a 15 + year old game designed for a 20+ year old operating system and has in essence 128 bit graphics.

I would suggest 'classics' is a fair observation [:)]
