I have my revenge here, the Axis player has tried to counter my move but this was too late... Love this game...

though this action is highly dangerous, according to the manuel, the chance to be spotted and intercepted is approximatly 90%. Transport ships carrying unit is tooooooo easy to be sunk, I've been sunk 4 corps in Denmark,'39 even in a rainy day.

I was intercepted but the transport was escorted by one CV, two BB, two DD.

As the Allies you can easily pull this off because of fleet superiority.

As the Axis it is very risky (but sometimes worth the risk).

If you can get a couple of fleet units to join the transport, the AI driven attacks usually target the combat ships rather than the transports. They also tend to not strike until the units reach their destination. So even if your transport doesn't start with the support fleets it can usually join them even as late as the port hex.
