Why losing Gibraltar prevents Egypt from being supplied?

Historically, not to expose their convoys in the Mediterranean, the British supply Egypt bypassing Africa. As such, I do not understand why Egypt can't be supplied by South Africa.

It does not change the possible port supply interdiction of Alexandria by Axis.

But losing Egypt, because of supplies, because Gibraltar fell is very strange. The only impact for me is that the British Navy cannot enter the Mediterranean Sea through Gibraltar. And that Germany can now enter the Mediterranean Sea through Gibraltar.

And that Italy can exit the Mediterranean Sea of course. Can we change this supply rule?

Thanks

Are you saying that I accidentally closed the Suez canal if Gibraltar was taken?

Oh no, sorry, I know why. This is not the game, this is me. I have lost Port Said and Cairo at the same time. And, now with Gibraltar taken, this is normal to be out of supply.

Yes yes, I know, I am winning. [:D]
