Hi all,

There is serious problem (bug) with filing up depleted squadrons that have
aircraft with short range... :-(

This is especially true for Japanese player since Turk is very far away and,
for example, F1M2 "Pete" can't reach any base from there.

The only way is to send ships to Turk which is very very awkward.

IMHO, following rules should be introduced:

a)
If there are replacement aircraft in pool.

b)
And if that aircraft type is missing in active squadron(s) at frontline.

c)
And if that aircraft type has too short range to travel to those active
squadron(s) at frontline.

The aircraft in question should be created as squadron remnant and it should
be user movable (in other words Japanese player, for example, would take empty
AV and load all those remnants at Turk and it move them manually).

What do you think gentleman?

Is this a problem? I thought plane units got replacements any time they needed them if there were available planes in the pool. The only requirement for planes stationed on ships is that the ships have to be docked.

Maybe you are thinking of the new requirement for UPGRADES where the unit has to be within transfer range of Truk.

Nope... there is a problem... :-(

If you have BB with, let's say, F1M2 "Pete" squadrons on board in port of
Rabaul and you have several aircraft missing from full complement for them
the squadrons will not fill up even if you have plenty of F1M2 "Pete" in
replacement pool.

Reason?

The Rabaul (and any other port) is just too far for F1M2 "Pete" to travel.

The only way is to send BB to Turk... :-(

Don't expect any action on this unless/until the reenforcement/replacement routines from WitP are back fitted to UV. The system for filling out ground and air units in WitP is much better at this and would address your concerns. For more info on this system, go to the WitP forum and search for a thread started by Mogami that discusses the replacement system in WitP.
