Hi guys, I'm new in this forum and I have some questions to you.
1) I'm trying to run the game under V3.3 Windows XP without success, any help? The game run perfectly in my notebook under Win 98 ...
2) I noted that the frist option "Campaign 41" don't work for PBEM like the rest. After select this one the "password" option don't appear like in the previous version.
3) I and a group of friends are organizing a cooperative game with 6 guys in each side. Have any of you experience with this kind of game in War in Russia?
Thanks in advance !!!

cooperative game ...thoughts :
You might look at VICTORY...by a game company out of Denver USA. not certain if they continue to exist or what their web site might be.
The co-operativeness of it was that as an "ally", one could potentially see what the enemy did during their turn. Turns were done once per week(or 3 weeks). As individual component members of allies did their turn, they could advise their fellow allies of news about the enemy...prior to their fellow ally submitting their turn.
Not sure if it could work in WIR. One would have to redo all your previous component allies inputs to the turn as it became your turn.
At any rate, i would be interested in participation in such a game...perhaps. I am dearth on Mule HQ rule and Blizzard impact upon German defences in 41/42 blizzard.
WIR 3.3 PBEM 41 password lost.
I had the problem lately. I belive Ricky Bancroft had to do a fix. I think it has something to do with a sub folder(original icons) needing to exist or some such. Ask Rick for details.
WIR vs Windows XP
sorry, dont know that anyone ever got XP to work with WIR. There was an email about it over the past month or 2, i think. It might have eventually had an answer.

Thanks Mike, I will try to find out this old message about the Win XP and the WIR.
Today I receive a zip file for the V3.3 with the PBEM in the first campaign solved. I tried it and works perfectly. I thought this guy make some mix with files from the V2.2 that don't have changes respect V3.3 version.
I can send it to you if you (or any other) want. My email is

I'm playing cooperative a huge scenario of the TOAW - CW (The Operational Art of War - Century Edition) regarding the entire Russian campaign with another 9 guys. We play one at a time saving the game and sending it to the leader until finish the turn. This time we will play WIR both using an Excell sheet where every commander will write their orders and then the leader will make the movements, etc. We never play this way ... I will tell later how works ...
Best Regards,
Facundo.
