Hello,
I have the game on steam.
When i start a new game, i cannot change option, when i click nothing happens. And when the game start i cannot place the german setup (for 1914 call to arms scenario), i must choose automatic setup...
I repair the game but it doesn't change.
Then I uninstall then install again the game but it doesn't change.
I have 90 hours + played but this problem happens only with the last patch.
Can someone help me please ?

Sorry to hear about the trouble, could you try deleting the SC3.ini file in your USER folder for the game to see if this helps?
Typically this is found in the following folder:
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI
To do this, shut the game down, delete this file, then try restarting the game after that.

I watch all the files one by one and I have zero file with ".ini"
It happens only on solo mod and not in multiplayer [&:]

There should definitely be 3 ".ini" files in this folder:
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI
They are:
editor.ini
language.ini
sc3.ini
If not then you may wish to reinstall the game.

If you see .exe files, you are looking in the wrong folder.
check the path again, the game installs the exe files in the programs folder. You need to go to your user folder and dig down into the Documents (or My Documents)/Games etc... to find the .ini files.

You might not see the extension 'ini', but if you see a file called SC3 in that folder, try deleting it and it will be automatically re-created when you re-launch the game and maybe this will solve the issue for you.
For your other issues, do they happen in single player with the default campaigns? Or is it just for one of your modified campaigns?

You are right Taxman66, I was looking wrong, i find the .ini files and i delete them. But i can't launch the game then, they are not automatically re-created. So i reinstall the game but the problem is still the same.
For more precisions : I can't change options before to start a game with the default campaigns in solo mod, i don't use the editor. And i can't switch language in the main menu. I can play normaly in PBEM, it's the most important to me.

Hi Sebi8313,
Deleting the other ini files might cause issues, this is why it was only suggested to delete the SC3.ini file.
Can you be more specific on the problem as I'm still not sure I fully understand.
1) Which options are you trying to change?
2) Can you provide any screenshots of the issues?
Please send to
support@furysoftware.com if this helps.

Hi,
On the following screenshots you can see the options that I cannot change before and during the game

Thanks for this and I am currently stumped as I simply cannot repeat this issue on my end, and especially so if you can change OPTIONS under PBEM++ mode.
I'm wondering if it is perhaps Anti-Virus software related or if you need to run the game as an Administrator to see if that helps.
Can you try right clicking on the game EXE or desktop shortcut and selecting 'Run As Administrator' to see if this helps?

I run as administrator but the issue is still the same.
Thanks for help everyone, it is not very restrictive (only solo player mod is impacted).

The only other thing I can think of is that it is indeed Anti-Virus software related. Perhaps you can confirm this by temporarily disabling your AV software to see if it makes a difference? Up to you if this is something you'd like to try, and you can also double check to see that your EXE and the Documents folder holding the SC3.ini file is all whitelisted for changes etc.
I just suggest this as some AV software can be set to "protect" certain documents folders from changes, and the game EXE requires permissions to change the SC3.ini file as this is exactly how in game OPTIONS are changed and then stored.
