GoG still shows the most recent version as 1.06.01. This means that I get a version mismatch error when trying to access the PBEM server.

It should be there shortly, GoG releases it themselves after we submit as we cannot control the exact timing the same way we can for the Matrix and Steam releases. It's usually within the same 24 hours however.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I have already notified my PBEM opponents of the delay.

just go to Marix home page and you can DL 1.06 from there. I just did, no problem.

I am pretty sure that is only possible because you did not purchase through GoG. I can only access downloads on the Matrix site for games for which I have registered a serial. Gog, however, does not show me a serial to the game at any point. Therefor I cannot register it on the Matrix site and I cannot access downloads for it.
