Hi,

Playing a PBEM game where my astute CP opponent attacked Epinal with multiple units that resulted in the destruction/shattereing of the French Corps I had defending it, but the fortifications were never destroyed, and the occupying German corps that took its place, shows up as being entrenched at 2/3 level. What gives with this? Is this WAD?

Shouldn't all fortifications get destroyed if the defending unit gets destroyed/shattered? I have noticed fortifications getting destroyed when attacked but I never paid attention to what happens to fortifications that encompass all six hexsides.

Nope, most forts don't get destroyed, some have special events, but even those just reduce its supply value and maybe reduce its max entrenchment (like the verdun one, that becomes a normal fort from super fort)
